Mix Prep + Upload Instructions
If you’re preparing to submit stems for a music project, there are several important steps to ensure your submission is professional, organised, and easy for our team to work with.
Below is a quick guide to help:
Preparing
Key steps to correctly prepare and submit your stems for the next stage of production.
- Complete all editing for timing and tuning
- Disable all plugins and effects except where integral or desired (e.g. megaphone effect)
- Disable all delays and / or reverbs
- Exclude all disabled / muted / unwanted tracks
- Label each track using a grouped letter-based system i.e. d=drums, b=bass, g=guitar, v=vocals as below:

Exporting
Properly exported stems allows our team to work with individual elements of your song while maintaining the highest audio quality.
- Export your stems as consolidated WAV files in 24 bit 44.1k or higher, all starting from the same point, with 1 bar of silence at the beginning
- Export your BPM tempo map

Folders
Clear folder names ensure that each element of your track is easy to locate and identify, saving time and preventing confusion during the mixing or collaboration process.
Main Folder
- "Artist Name - Song Title"
Sub Folders
- "Stems" with all exported stem files
- "Lyrics" with the lyric sheet
- "BPM" with the exported tempo map
- "Mixes" with your rough mix
- "Pro Tools Session Files" with all Pro Tools session files [only required if you use Pro Tools]
When ready, please upload the above using Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any other similar file transfer website.

Please note that if the files are not received to the above specifications they may not be accepted and will be returned to you to amend and resend.
We allow for 2 mix revisions as part of our standard service. If you require more than 2, there will be a surcharge.
